Silk bedding lends a luxurious and soft feel to any bed. This 100% pure silk-filled mattress topper is filled with strands of mulberry silk which is 100% natural and hypoallergenic. The silk is hand stretched into a high thread count cotton outer casing.

The casing is made from soft yet durable and long-lasting 300 thread count fine cotton sateen.

Flower patterns are loop sewn through the casing at regular intervals to keep the long strands of silk in place without crushing them. As a result of this the insulating air pockets between the silk strands are maintained. Thus, the topper is more comfortable and luxurious.

The mulberry silk used is of the highest quality. No chemicals or treatments used, the silk is 100% pure and natural.

A top quality cotton sateen sleeve is fitted around all sides of the topper. This ensures that the topper is attached to the bed much more securely and won’t shift once fitted. Suitable for all mattresses (up to a depth of 45cm/18″).

Care and cleaning:

Mulberry silk-filled bedding is easy to care for as it will not require cleaning under normal usage conditions.  It is recommended to use a duvet cover with your silk-filled duvet as with regular duvets

Should your silk bedding become a little flatter after prolonged use airing outside for a few hours, preferably on a sunny day, will enhance the silk’s natural properties and make it feel like new again.

If necessary use a mild detergent to spot clean or take to a professional dry cleaning service. It is very important to avoid machine washing as this will harm the bedding. Beware of silk-filled bedding that can be machine washed as this has been chemically treated to make this possible. The chemical treatment destroys many of the great natural properties of the silk.
