Gael-Choláiste Chill Dara
The management at Gael-Choláiste Chill Dara identified that there was a need to train staff to administer medication for serious nut allergies emergencies and to ensure that they had the necessary skills to perform cardio/pulmonary resuscitation. 17 members of the school staff were interested in being trained to administer medication/treatment to students in an emergency situation.
Allergy Lifestyle tailored a course to suit the training requirements at Gael-Choláiste Chill Dara and delivered this over a number of dates to suit the school timetable. Staff found the training comprehensive and there was an opportunity to practise practical skills. We now have a large number of staff who are trained to the required standards as set by PHECC in the administration of Glucagon and Epinephrine. Staff found the course comprehensive and it provided them with the knowledge and confidence to respond effectively in an emergency situation.
Ciara Gallagher, Managing Director, Nurture Childcare and Early Learning Centres
As a childcare company we are constantly striving to improve our service and one of the ways we do this is through training. Due to the increase in allergies we felt it would be very important to include Emergency Medicine Training for our staff. We have initially rolled it out in 3 of our centres and will be continuing this in our remaining 4 centres. We dealt with Anne in organising the training and this was very quick and easy. The actual delivery of the training was very good and student friendly. All 6 staff were very happy with the course and we all found it extremely interesting.
We would highly recommend Allergy Lifestyle as a training company and we look forward to working with you in 2018.
